Ka Shi Lau, BBS, is the Managing Director & CEO of BCT Group (comprising BCT Financial Limited and Bank Consortium Trust Company Limited), one of the top 5 MPF service providers and one of the largest trust companies in Hong Kong focusing on the provision of pension products and asset servicing for investment funds and pensions.
Apart from her current role as Chairman of the Hong Kong Trustees’ Association, Ka Shi also serves on various statutory and professional bodies including Hong Kong Retirement Schemes Association, Mandatory Provident Fund Scheme Authority; Securities and Future Commission; Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Hong Kong Institute of Directors, Minimum Wage Commission; Social Security & Retirement Protection Task Force and Independent Commission on Remuneration for Members of the Executive Council & the Legislature, and Officials under the Political Appointment System of the HKSAR Government. She is also an Investment Promotion Ambassador of InvestHK.
Amongst various awards, Ka Shi was recognised as the “CAPITAL Leaders of Excellence” by CAPITAL magazine and awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star (BBS) by the HKSAR government in 2013. She is also the first woman to receive a Director of the Year Award in the “Private Companies, Executive Director” category from Hong Kong Institute of Directors, Ka Shi was also named “Professional of the Year” in the Women of Influence Awards 2010 jointly organised by the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and South China Morning Post.
Graduated from Cornell University (USA) with an MBA, Ka Shi possesses extensive banking & finance experience in investment banking; project finance; global investment, trust and custody services; risk management and compliance; banking and securities operations.

Mr. LAI Ni Quiaque (NiQ) is Head of Talent Engagement and Chief Financial Officer of Hong Kong Broadband Network Limited. NiQ joined HKBN in 2004 and has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. NiQ is passionate about developing HKBN Talents because he believes if you get the people right, the company will do great. His unique combination of being responsible for ‘people and money’ gives him a different perspective vs other executives that focus on just one of these elements.
Prior to joining HKBN, NiQ was a highly rated analyst as Director and Head of Asia Telecom Research for Credit Suisse. NiQ was involved in numerous global fund raisings for Asian telecommunication carriers such as China Mobile, SK Telecom, PCCW, Telekom Malaysia. NiQ holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Western Australia and an Executive Master of Business Administration Degree from Kellogg-HKUST. NiQ was honored in 2009 with “Champion of Human Resources” by the HRM Awards and in 2013 Global Telecom Business Magazine ‘Top 50 CFOs in the industry to watch’ and Asset Magazine ‘Hong Kong CFO of the Year’. NiQ loves what he is doing so does not see himself not working.
As a teenager, NiQ dreamt of becoming a tennis pro idolizing John McEnroe, but has since switched his ambitions to golf. He now hopes to improve his golf game to a score lower than his age rather than his weight. NiQ is 1 of 91 proud Co-owners of HKBN.
Mr. Francis Wong, Principal Trainer, eeVoices Limited
Mr. Francis Wong was formerly Cluster General Manager, Human Resources of New Territories East Cluster (NTEC) of Hospital Authority, Hong Kong. He took care of the full range of human resources functions of seven public hospitals with a workforce of more than 10,500 professional and supporting personnel. He retired from HA service in May, 2014.
Francis graduated from University of Salford in the UK where he was conferred a BA (Hons) degree in Organisational Analysis and Industrial Relations in 1982. He further obtained a Master in General Management from Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Australia. He is a fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resources Management (HKIHRM), and was a fellow of the Institute of Personnel Management (UKIPM) and a member of the UK Institute of Training and Development (ITD). Currently he is a council member of HKIHRM and is a member of the Personnel Management Committee of the Hong Kong Management Association. He is the external examiner of the HRM Diploma programmes of the Institute of Vocational Education of Vocational Training Council of Hong Kong.
Francis is also currently serving on the HRM Postgraduate Programmes Advisory Committee of Hong Kong Baptist University.
Before joining Hospital Authority of Hong Kong, Francis has been associated with leading local and multi-national corporations in transportation, retails, hi-tech and electronics sectors. They include Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC), Philips Electronics, Dow Jones Telerate, Dairy Farm International and A.S. Watsons. He has taught in the City Polytechnic (now University) of Hong Kong and providing management consulting services to some local major corporations. In 1995 he formed his own management company in designing, developing and operating the largest in-door children amusement centre in Guangzhou which at that time was the biggest venture of the same nature in southern China, and attracted substantial media attention and was reported in Fortune Magazine.
He has been involved intensively in management successions, leadership development and staff engagement projects in the various organisations he associated with. He is a regular speaker in the Institute of Hong Kong Human Resources Management as well as speaking in the HKIHRM 2010 Annual Conference. He is also frequently invited to talk in universities on different business management, career and human resources management topics. In 2007, he was invited to speak at the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) Conference in San Diego. He has also been invited for over 10 years as a judge for the Retail Management Association Annual Courtesy Award competition which is one of the biggest events of similar nature in Hong Kong. He has helped his employing organisations to win the HKIHRM Staff Engagement Excellence Award as well as the Hong Kong Labour Department’s Best Employer Award.
Francis’ career achievements include introducing customer service programme to the two leading supermarket chains in Hong Kong, which laid the foundation for their respective today’s service level. He has successful built up a successful indoor amusement centre in his capacity as the owner of a managing company, which became operational breakeven at the commencement of operations and attracted buyers to acquire the business. In KCRC, he was one of those senior executives who were responsible for planning and executing the merging exercise with MTRC, which is one of the biggest projects of same nature in Hong Kong.
