Speakers and Topics:

Mr. Alan Yip, Co-founder and Managing Director, Guru Online
How to engage and excite the under-30 colleagues?

Mr. Yip is the co-founder and Managing Director of Guru Online, an award-winning digital marketing company. Since 2007, he has led the company to pioneer in the digital marketing arena and served dozens of Fortune 500 companies as clients. Headquartered in Hong Kong, with branches in Beijing and Guangzhou, Guru Online has successfully transformed to a regional company with Mr. Yip’s remarkable management and leadership. Prior to the foundation of Guru Online, Mr. Yip had joined Procter & Gamble (P&G), the world largest consumer brand company and was the Regional Marketing Director of La Souhait Cosmetics Group. He was responsible for devising business portfolio strategies, brand management and initiatives. Mr. Yip was graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and had studied the Entrepreneur CEO program at The China Europe International Business School (CEIBS).

Mr. Danny Chan, Chief Praise Maker, Praisage
Building an Engaging Team: No $$, No Talk?

It was while studying in Australia and supporting himself through part time work that Danny came to experience the physical and psychological challenges of working on the front-line of business, as well as the power of both complaints and appreciation. After returning to Hong Kong in 2001, Danny was engaged in a variety of roles across diverse industries ranging from tourism management to branding, and from people development to public relations. But at the heart of his work lays a deep and sincere commitment to serve and support people. It was at the age of 32 that Danny made a profound and remarkable decision that would radically alter the direction of his life. In response to what he experienced as an emerging corporate culture dominated by complaint driven reaction, he committed himself to developing a platform through which he could champion and promote a somewhat contradictory culture of appreciation, and lead a transformation in organisational behaviour. The outcome of his courageous effort is this award-winning concept, Praisage (www.praisage.com), which is now the world’s first platform of praise.

Mr. Stark Chan, CEO & Founder, Bull-b.com
Ethics and Enlightened Leadership

Chan Yik Hei is a young entrepreneur in Hong Kong. In 2004, he achieved a Second Award in Engineering Category of the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair for his Total Equip, a robot for domestic security modelled after R2-D2. Therefore, an asteroid, 20780 Chanyikhei, was named after him by LINEAR under the Ceres Connection program, which name asteroids after winners of certain science and engineering competitions.

Back to Hong Kong, he was called “Son of the star” by the local media, and became increasingly famous and popular. A water rocket of his product was launched on the welcoming ceremony for Fei Junlong and Nie Haisheng, the Chinese astronauts of Shenzhou 6.

In May 2006, he was accepted by the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) for a 4-year undergraduate study (including a 1-year preparatory course), making him a rare case to be accepted into university without completing any public examinations in Hong Kong. After graduating from HKUST in 2011, he launched Bull B Tech, a firm that specializes in developing apps.
