Talent Life Cycle: From Acquisition to Retention

On 27th October, 2010, eeVoices organized with HR Magazine, Stepstone, HKU Space and flexsystem a HR conference.

Mr. Greg Basham, the CEO of eeVoices Limited talked about the critical Stages in the Talent Life Cycle. He states that employees have different needs, challenges, attitudes and behaviours in each of the stage, he also ended the presentation by giving some advices.

Florence Ng is the  Senior HR Director of Philips Electronics Hong Kong Ltd.  She shared her view of “talent management of new Generation, new challenge”. Her insights on the changes of the workforce including the Generation Y and technology enabler changes has inspirsion to the HR industry.

Drs Erik Schmit, Managing Director APAC, StepStone china Limited. His topic is “Optimization on Developing Recruitment Management and Changing Talent Strategies”. Schmit shared with you his findings and case studies about optimizing recruitment management and changing talent strategies.

Doris Ng, Human Resource Business Partner Asia Pacific, Bayer MaterialScience Ltd., Talent Development = / ≠Product Life Cycle?She shared the different practices in talent development and also her viewpoint in talent life cycle during the conference.

Bianca Wong is the Managing Director of Human Resource Services, North Pacific and HR Information Systems, FedEx Express. Her topic is “Engaging new hires in their first three to six months – the on-boarding process and beyond”. She shared the view that HR what HR department can do to engage the new hires.

In the final panel discussion, the panels shared their views based on questions from participants, like “Should we tell the talents they are talents?”, “What’s the first challenge of your company now?”, etc.
